Mechanical Engineering Internship
Kinematic Sculpture
Project
"Nocturnal Wandering Highway"
In the Spring of 2021, I was enrolled into MCEN 3025 aka Component Design. As the class focused on the fundamentals relating to component design and actual engineering material, it was all capped off with a semester long project.

Due to the complications relating to COVID-19, the project was to be done remotely, and our objective was to create a "Kinematic Sculpture".

After being randomly assigned team members, I took on the role of the lead CAD Engineer. My responsibilities with this role included (but was not limited to): designing the project, creating a 3D model in Solidworks, creating drawings, simulations and animations, and then scheduling all mechanically based meetings. I held the most tasks, followed by our project manager.

I am quite proud of this project due to the fact that all obstacles presented to us were overcome. On this page you will find a google drive link to the 3D parts and all of their iterations, our final report, as well as some videos to help showcase the project.
